Key Responsibilities

Technical Service Representative Client seeking an experienced Technical Service Representative to support customers in the wide web flexographic and gravure printing segments. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in water-based and solvent-based inks, flexible packaging, pressroom operations, print troubleshooting, and customer-facing technical support. This role requires a hands-on technical professional capable of leading troubleshooting activities, supporting press trials, optimizing ink performance, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and maintaining strong customer relationships in manufacturing and packaging environments. Technical Support & Troubleshooting Provide technical support for wide web flexographic and gravure printing customers Perform on-site troubleshooting, ink optimization, and print performance analysis Identify and resolve technical issues related to inks, coatings, substrates, and print quality Analyze print defects and implement corrective actions Product Implementation & Press Support Coordinate and support press trials, product launches, and technical evaluations Support implementation of water-based and solvent-based inks and coatings Evaluate ink/substrate interactions, drying systems, and surface treatments Ensure successful product performance and customer satisfaction Customer Relationship Management Serve as primary technical point of contact for customer accounts Build and maintain strong customer relationships Provide technical guidance and product recommendations Respond to customer concerns regarding packaging and ink performance Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate with R&D, sales, manufacturing, and regulatory teams Support development of customized technical solutions Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization Assist with technical documentation, reporting, and communication logs Compliance & Safety Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory standards Support VOC compliance and solvent handling protocols Maintain adherence to manufacturing and product stewardship requirements Must-Have Skills Flexible Packaging Experience Water-Based & Solvent-Based Inks Wide Web Flexographic Printing Gravure Printing Print Troubleshooting & Defect Analysis Customer-Facing Technical Support Pressroom Operations Ink Optimization & Color Matching Cross-Functional Collaboration Technical Documentation & Reporting Education Bachelor's Degree Preferred in: Chemistry Printing Technology Engineering Related Technical Field OR Equivalent Industry Experience Considered Experience Requirements 5+ years of technical support experience in flexographic and/or gravure printing environments Experience supporting flexible packaging manufacturing operations Hands-on experience with packaging materials, inks, and coatings Experience resolving customer-facing technical and print-quality issues Experience working directly with manufacturing and pressroom operations Work Environment Hybrid work environment with flexible work-from-home days Frequent customer site visits and manufacturing plant support Fast-paced manufacturing and printing industry environment Travel up to 70% required Collaborative cross-functional technical environment
