About the role
- Maintain ethics standards within the professional and hospital guidelines.
- Design and implements individualized nutrition care plans for hospitalized and ambulatory patients across the life span, considering cultural and religious diversity.
- Prioritizes patient caseload based on assigned level of risk.
- Collaborates daily with interdisciplinary care teams on nutrition care plan development in the context of the medical management.
- May be asked to assist with orientation and training of new level 1 dietitians and nutrition assistants
- Provides cross-coverage of RD assignments as needed.
- Participates in weekend & holiday clinical nutrition coverage.
- Complete productivity data.
- Participates in clinical team by providing input to team decisions, facilitating open communication among the group, and by attending all team meetings.
- Participates in service-specific graduate medical education and other educational opportunities (after 1 year).Assists with data collection and projects as requested.
- Practices within the ADA scope of practice.
- Registered Dietitian as delineated by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
- Maintenance of continuing education requirements for dietetic registration.
