Precision Manufacturing Opportunity We're seeking an experienced CMM Programmer / Operator to support a high-precision toolroom environment. This position will develop and run CMM inspection programs, inspect complex components, and ensure parts meet engineering drawings, GD&T requirements, and tight tolerances down to ±0.0001 inch.
What You'll Be Doing:
Program and operate Zeiss CMM equipment using PC-DMIS and Calypso.
Inspect machined parts, tooling, fixtures, gauges, and sheet metal components.
Interpret blueprints, GD&T, dimensions, tolerances, and technical
true position, profile, flatness, perpendicularity, hole locations, diameters, and other critical, validate, troubleshoot, and improve CMM programs.
Maintain probe calibration and qualification routines.
Perform surface-plate and bench inspections as needed.
Work with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve inspection and dimensional issues.
Identify nonconforming material and support continuous quality improvement.
What We're Looking For:
- 5+ years of CMM programming experience
- Strong experience with Zeiss CMM machines
- Proficiency with PC-DMIS and Calypso
- Advanced understanding of GD&TExperience inspecting tight-tolerance machined components
- Strong blueprint and technical drawing interpretation skills
- Knowledge of precision measurement tools and inspection methods
- Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills
Preferred:
- Technical degree, apprenticeship, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Toolroom or precision manufacturing background
- Experience with Keyence VR-5000 Series measurement systems
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing practices
