About the role
Locations:
River Bend, LA (ONSITE) Relocation required (fully covered)The mission We're building the compute infrastructure that determines who shapes the future of AI. Whoever deploys frontier compute fastest — at gigawatt scale — decides whether that future expands human freedom or narrows it. This is a confidential search on behalf of a company doing exactly that: acquiring power, designing and building data centers, and operating them, faster than anyone else in the market. Why join You'll be the on-site authority, not someone waiting on one — full ownership of critical infrastructure risk and change management for the site Work inside live, active build-out — the site's operating posture is being defined in real time, and your judgment shapes it Real technical ownership over power and cooling systems at a scale few sites in the country operate at Direct exposure to the build-out of the most capital-intensive infrastructure in tech right now Relocation handled end-to-end — you're not solving your own logistics problem on top of a new job Role scope Serve as on-site SME for critical infrastructure, handling escalations across white space and supporting facilities Understand site design limitations and risk; audit colocation partners and service providers on maintenance programs and effectiveness Own the change management process for high-risk maintenance activities Act as first responder on-site for incidents, driving resolution with support from engineering and infrastructure SMEsPartner with colo partners, vendors, and internal teams to keep the site reliable; feed operational learnings back into design and process Who we're looking for You've operated or led critical-facilities operations in a live data center, owning the physical infrastructure that keeps a site running You know the critical-infrastructure stack — power and cooling — well enough to be the on-site authority You run change management for high-risk work and hold vendors/partners to a real standard You're calm and capable when something fails at 3am — you're the first responder, not the one waiting for one You audit, document, and improve — leaving the site's operating posture stronger than you found it
Bonus:
hyperscale or colocation operations experience, Uptime Institute or NFPA familiarity, MOP/EOP experience, vendor and colo management What's required Willingness to relocate to Louisiana, Texas, New York, or Indiana — the company covers moving costs, housing search, and all logistics Comfort operating in a fast-moving, high-trust environment with real stakes attached to your output
Compensation & benefits:
Competitive total compensation (salary + equity), retirement/pension in line with local norms, health/dental/vision insurance, generous PTO.
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
