Job Location: Lima Care Community - Lima, OH 45805-5104, Position Type: Per Diem, Education Level: High School, Travel Percentage: Negligible, Job Shift: First Shift, Job Category: Activities, Lima Care Community is seeking a licensed Cosmetologist to provide hair care and beauty services to residents within our skilled nursing facility. This opportunity is designed for an independent contractor who will operate their own business, set appointments, and collect payment directly from residents and/or their responsible parties.
Key Responsibilities: Provide professional cosmetology services to residents, including: Haircuts Shampoo and styling Perms and color services (if appropriate) Beard trimming and grooming Other licensed cosmetology services as permitted by state regulations Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary salon/work area in accordance with all applicable health, safety, and licensing requirements. Coordinate appointments directly with residents, families, and facility staff as needed. Demonstrate compassion, patience, and professionalism when working with elderly residents and individuals with physical or cognitive limitations. Maintain all required professional licenses and certifications. Supply personal equipment, tools, and products necessary to perform services.
Qualifications: Current Cosmetology License in the State of Ohio. Prior experience working with seniors, long-term care, assisted living, or healthcare populations preferred. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage scheduling. Knowledge of infection control and sanitation practices.
