About the role
Sales Manager - Data Center Power Generation We are partnered with an industry leader in mission-critical power solutions that is looking to strengthen their commercial team with an experienced Sales Manager specializing in Mission-Critical Infrastructure. As Sales Manager, you will play a key role in supporting some of the world's largest and most advanced data center infrastructure projects. The role offers the opportunity to engage in large-scale, high-value projects, contribute to the growth of a rapidly expanding market, and work with industry-leading organizations shaping the future of digital infrastructure.
Location:
This role is remote and can be based anywhere in the United States. Regular travel throughout North America is expected. Proximity to established data center hubs is a plus.
Responsibilities:
Develop and manage a pipeline of generator and power system projects with hyperscale data centers, colocation providers and EPC firms.
Lead sales efforts including pricing, proposal development, contract negotiations, and commercial strategy.
Build and maintain relationships with executive and technical stakeholders.
Develop account plans aligned with customer growth, capacity expansion, and long-term infrastructure requirements.
Support solution development for generators, medium-voltage power systems, switchgear, and data center power architectures.
Coordinate RFQ/RFP responses and collaborate with internal teams throughout the sales cycle.
Manage project pursuits from opportunity identification through contract award and delivery transition.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and specification changes.
Support business planning, product strategy, and go-to-market initiatives.
The Ideal Candidate:
- 3+ years' technical sales experience, ideally in mission-critical infrastructure
- Strong technical knowledge of MV electrical systems, generators, and backup power applications
- Experience with long sales cycles (12-36 months)
- Understanding of Data Center power infrastructure and redundancy architectures
- Strong contact negotiation, business communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to understand technical requirements and translate them into commercial solutions
- Experience managing pricing strategy development and margin analysis
A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or related field is preferred; High School Diploma is required.
