About the role

Academic Interventionist Assistant We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to support the academic success of students as an Academic Interventionist Assistant in our computer lab. This full-time position involves facilitating programs such as Edgenuity to enhance student learning, providing academic support, and fostering a positive and engaging learning environment. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with teachers and staff to implement intervention strategies that help students meet their educational goals.
Responsibilities: Assist students in navigating and utilizing Edgenuity and other educational software effectively. Provide one-on-one and small group support to students requiring additional assistance in their coursework. Monitor student progress and engagement in the computer lab, ensuring that all students are actively participating in their learning. Collaborate with teachers to identify students' learning needs and develop appropriate intervention strategies. Maintain a positive, organized, and safe learning environment in the computer lab. Prepare instructional materials and resources for use in the computer lab. Facilitate small group instruction and tutoring sessions as needed. Assist in the collection and analysis of student data to inform instructional practices. Communicate regularly with teachers, parents, and administrative staff regarding student progress and needs. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge related to academic intervention and technology in education. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising teacher or administration.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or higher preferred. Experience working with students in an educational setting, particularly in a technology-based environment. Familiarity with educational software, specifically Edgenuity or similar programs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed academically. Basic computer skills and proficiency in using technology for educational purposes. Knowledge of instructional strategies and best practices in academic intervention is a plus. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to support student learning and achievement.
