Hiring: Specialist/Analyst, Payroll Operations
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Schedule: Onsite 5 days per week
Pay: $44/hrDuration: 10/12/2026 – 12/31/2026, with possible extension
We’re looking for an experienced Payroll Operations Specialist/Analyst to support a high-volume payroll team within Finance. This person will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and on time, reviewing payroll data and audit reports, resolving employee payroll issues, and supporting payroll process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect, review, enter, edit, and verify payroll data
  • Review payroll audit reports and identify discrepancies
  • Research and resolve employee payroll questions
  • Ensure payroll activities follow company policies, government regulations, labor agreements, and SOX requirements
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and procedures
  • Analyze payroll data and identify opportunities to improve processes
  • Support payroll-related projects and system testing
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of payroll processing or related payroll, accounting, or HR experience
  • Experience in a high-volume, multi-state payroll environment
  • Strong Excel skills, including working with large datasets
  • Experience or understanding of union payroll and collective bargaining agreements
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate payroll information clearly and professionally
Preferred:
  • SAP Payroll experience
  • Excel macro experience
