Hiring Data Governance SpecialistLocation: Seattle, WA | Dallas, TX | Phoenix, AZ | Charleston, SCWork Model: Hybrid – 1–2 days/weekEmployment: Full-Time / ContractExperience: 6–8+ yearsRequirementsNeed Independent candidates only.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement data governance roadmaps, standards, processes, and practices.Lead data catalog initiatives covering metadata, lineage, documentation, and data discovery.Define data stewardship roles and governance responsibilities.Assess and onboard data domain teams.Address data quality, integrity, governance, and protection issues.Work closely with business and IT stakeholders in an Agile environment.Required Skills8+ years of IT experience with 5+ years in Data Governance & Data Cataloging.Strong SQL, Python, databases, and data structures experience.Experience with Alation, Collibra, or similar data catalog platforms.Strong knowledge of metadata management, Business Glossary, Lineage, Data Dictionaries, and ETL.Experience with REST/OpenAPI and API development.Power BI/Tableau experience is a plus.Send your updated resume to julie.k@arkhyatech.com
