About the role
Lasagna Love is a grassroots movement powered by thousands of volunteers cooking and delivering lasagna to neighbors in need. We are united by our commitment to offer a tangible act of love, compassion, and hope in communities often marked by uncertainty and stress. Together, we are proving that kindness has the power to nourish not only bodies, but also hearts and communities. Our purpose is simple yet profound: feed families, spread kindness, strengthen communities. As a volunteer Lasagna Chef, you decide what works for you. You choose how often you would like to volunteer—whether that's once a month, several times a week, or somewhere in between. You also choose how far you're willing to drive for a delivery and whether you're comfortable accommodating special dietary needs. Volunteers purchase the ingredients, prepare the lasagna, and deliver it directly to their matched neighbor. Lasagna Love handles the matching process based on your availability and preferences. We also provide online training and resources so you feel informed, prepared, and comfortable in your volunteer role. If you are looking for a flexible opportunity, or a way for your family to volunteer together, making a lasagna for a neighbor in need is a great opportunity to spread some kindness!
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
