About the role
Senior Renewable Energy Project Manager
Location:
Onsite in Chicago or Denver We’re looking for an experienced project leader to oversee renewable energy projects as they move from advanced development through construction and into operations. This person will work across engineering, construction, development, utilities, finance, and external partners to keep projects on track.
Responsibilities:
Own project execution, schedules, deliverables, and key milestones across multiple sites Coordinate contractors, consultants, engineers, and internal stakeholders throughout project delivery Support EPC agreement negotiations and ongoing contract administration Oversee permitting, construction readiness, and field execution Partner with development and engineering teams on site planning, civil design, and project layouts Manage communication and deliverables with utility partners related to interconnection Work with finance and accounting teams on project-level financial activities Identify project risks and drive solutions to keep work moving forward
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field 10+ years of relevant experience, including 7+ years in project management Experience managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects and project schedules Strong understanding of construction contracts and project execution Excellent leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Ability to travel approximately 25%Authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship Preferred Master’s degree in Engineering or related field Renewable energy, power, utility, or infrastructure experience Background with utility-scale solar or wind projects Experience working directly in construction environments
