Role: Jnr L2 Database Administrator (DBA) - MS SQL ServerExperience: 3-5 yearsSupport Model: 24/7Location: Dallas, TX and Atlanta, GA (Day1 Onsite)Need bachelor's degree.Salary Range- $60K- $65K Per AnnumSkills & ExperienceHands-on experience assisting in the administration of Microsoft SQL Server production environments, including basic instance start/stop activities and routine operational maintenance.Working knowledge of SQL Server backup and recovery operations, including full/differential/log backups, restore execution under guidance, and verification of backup success.Familiarity with SQL Server preventive maintenance tasks, including index maintenance, statistics updates, and execution of scheduled maintenance jobs using standard scripts or plans.Ability to perform basic SQL Server health checks, including monitoring disk space, database growth trends, and identifying common availability risks for escalation.Basic exposure to SQL Server performance monitoring, including identifying slow-running queries, monitoring CPU, memory, and I/O utilization, and capturing diagnostics for L2/L3 review.Ability to follow approved runbooks and procedures to execute standard SQL Server changes (patching support, configuration updates, restarts) with supervision.Working understanding of ITSM processes using ServiceNow, including logging, updating, and tracking Incident and Request tickets with proper documentation.Experience supporting request fulfillment activities, such as access changes, database refresh support, and routine operational requests following defined procedures.Familiarity with SQL Server administration tools, including SSMS and basic use of monitoring dashboards for daily operational tasks.Willingness and ability to escalate issues promptly and accurately to L3 DBAs with relevant observations, logs, and collected evidence.Recommended CertificationsMicrosoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals (DP-900)Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate (DP 300) preferredWindows 2019/22/ Redhat Linux 8.x/9.xITIL V4
