Account Manager – Meetings, Incentives & Live Events Remote | Frequent Travel Required
Preferred Locations: Austin, TX | Las Vegas, NV | Southern California
Base Salary:
$60,000–$75,000 + Uncapped Commission If you come from the world of corporate events, meetings, incentives, experiential marketing, DMCs, or live event production — and you enjoy building client relationships just as much as executing great events — this could be an exciting next step. We are partnering with a fast-growing, full-service live event production company that has been creating memorable experiences for more than 30 years. The organization works as an extension of its clients’ teams, supporting everything from concept through execution across corporate meetings, conventions, trade shows, product launches, road shows, and large-scale live events. Their capabilities span staging and scenic design, lighting, audio and video, virtual and hybrid events, immersive technology, media production, trade show exhibits, and audience engagement solutions. With a national footprint, a growing team, and approximately 150 events produced each year, the company is continuing to expand and is looking for an experienced Account Manager to help own, retain, and grow key client relationships.
The Opportunity:
This is not a traditional event-planning or logistics-only position. The Account Manager is the primary relationship owner for a portfolio of existing clients. You will work alongside dedicated technical Project Managers who handle the production and execution side of the event, while you focus on the client relationship, account strategy, retention, and growth. You will inherit an existing book of business and be expected to become a trusted partner to your clients — understanding their programs, anticipating their needs, identifying opportunities to expand the relationship, and ensuring they continue choosing the team year after year. For someone who is commercially minded and wants their compensation to grow alongside their accounts, there is significant upside through an uncapped commission structure.
What You'll Do:
Own and manage a portfolio of existing corporate event and meeting clients. Serve as the primary relationship owner before, during, and after events. Build strong relationships with meeting planners, event leaders, incentive teams, and other key client stakeholders. Retain and grow approximately $3M in existing account revenue. Identify opportunities to expand existing relationships through new shows, additional services, expanded scope, and new event programs. Develop proposals and recommendations that clearly demonstrate the value of expanded services. Partner closely with technical Project Managers and production teams responsible for event execution. Take ownership of accounts transitioned from Business Development and continue growing those relationships. Look for opportunities to introduce additional services across AV, staging, scenic, production, virtual/hybrid events, immersive experiences, and related offerings. Maintain account activity, opportunities, and pipeline information within Hub Spot. Attend client events to strengthen relationships, provide executive-level support, and ensure the client experience remains exceptional. Develop new client and event opportunities where appropriate.
What We're Looking For:
Event industry experience is required for this position. The ideal candidate has built their career within the meetings, incentives, events, experiential, DMC, AV, or live-production environment and already understands how these programs come together. We're particularly interested in candidates who have experience working directly with meeting planners and corporate event clients and who have progressed beyond pure event execution into client ownership and account growth. You should bring:2+ years of relevant experience within the meetings, incentives, events, experiential, DMC, or live event production industry. Previous Account Manager, Account Executive, Client Services, or similar client-facing experience. Direct experience working with meeting planners, event professionals, incentive programs, or corporate event stakeholders. A track record of owning client relationships rather than solely coordinating event logistics. A commercial mindset with the ability to recognize upsell, cross-sell, and account-expansion opportunities. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. The ability to manage multiple clients, events, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously. Comfort working independently in a remote environment while collaborating with teams across multiple markets. Flexibility to travel frequently for client events. Travel Expectations This role requires frequent overnight travel to support client programs and strengthen relationships onsite. Events may take place during the traditional workweek or over weekends, so candidates must be comfortable with a schedule that flexes around the live-events calendar. Because a significant portion of the company's event activity occurs in Austin, Las Vegas, and Southern California, candidates based in or near one of these markets are strongly preferred. Additional Experience We'd Love to SeeDMC, experiential marketing, corporate events, incentive travel, or AV production experience. Experience developing event budgets and client proposals. Contract and vendor negotiation experience. Existing relationships within the corporate meeting-planner or incentive-events community. Experience using Hub Spot or a similar CRM.Experience growing an existing book of business. Why Join? You won't be joining a large organization where you're simply managing a small piece of the client experience. You'll have the opportunity to work directly with clients, collaborate closely with production experts, and make a measurable impact on the growth of your accounts. You'll be joining a company that: Has more than 30 years of experience in the live-events industry. Produces approximately 150 events annually. Supports projects ranging from smaller corporate programs to $1M+ productions. Operates nationally across multiple markets. Continues to invest in live, virtual, hybrid, and immersive event technology. Is actively growing its team and client base. Offers a remote-first environment with flexibility around where you work. Provides unlimited PTO.Offers a 401(k) with a 3.5% company match. Provides uncapped earning potential directly tied to the success of your accounts. We look forward to your application!
