About the role
- Lead an early intervention class for children 18 months to 3 years, including collaborative curriculum development and individualized activities
- Coach and empower caregivers to support their child's development, so goals carry over at home and in the community
- Conduct developmental assessments across domains using standardized tools such as the DAYC-2Prepare thorough developmental progress reports and maintain accurate session notes
- Monitor and track each child's goals to support measurable progress
- Supervise and support your classroom team through coaching, observation, evaluations, training, and regular team meetings
- Oversee daily classroom operations and compliance, including preparedness, state licensing requirements, and curriculum timelines
- Collaborate closely with your interdisciplinary team: OTs, SLPs, RBTs, BCBAs, classroom staff, and the Program Director
- What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Development, Special Education, or a related field (required)
- Minimum of 12 Early Childhood Development/Education units (required)
- At least 2 years working with infants and toddlers with special needs, in a home-based or classroom setting
- Demonstrated experience leading classes, conducting developmental assessments, writing progress reports, and building individualized goals
- Familiarity with Early Start, IFSP goals, and the Early Start Denver Model preferred, or a strong willingness to learn them
- Strong understanding of infant and toddler development and the caregiver-child relationship
- Excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Must pass a TB test and criminal background clearance, and maintain current First Aid and CPR certification
