About the role

Position Overview: The Field Operations Manager (FOM) is responsible for the performance, readiness, and productivity of the Research Associate (RA) team within an assigned territory. This role leads a geographically distributed field workforce to ensure assigned work is properly staffed, completed on time, and delivered in accordance with RDSolutions’ quality standards and client requirements. The Field Operations Manager turns project schedules and business priorities into reliable field execution. This includes managing workforce capacity, communicating clear expectations, monitoring performance, coaching and developing Research Associates, resolving execution issues, and coordinating with corporate support teams. Success in this role means having the right people available for the right assignments, maintaining a high-performing and engaged field team, delivering accurate and timely results, and using labor resources efficiently without compromising quality.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Field Team Leadership: Lead, engage, and manage Research Associate performance through clear expectations, coaching, feedback, and collaboration with Human Resources as needed. Workforce Planning and Execution: Ensure assigned work is appropriately staffed and scheduled, with sufficient field team coverage to meet project requirements and deadlines. Quality and Delivery: Monitor field execution, hold Research Associates accountable for accurate and timely work, and address issues that could affect delivery or quality standards. Labor Productivity and Cost Management: Allocate resources efficiently, balancing delivery requirements and quality with labor costs, overtime, drive time, and mileage. Operational Coordination: Partner with corporate teams and Field Operations leadership to resolve issues, communicate risks, maintain visibility into project status, and improve field execution. Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications: Three or more years of relevant experience in field operations, workforce management, people supervision, scheduling, or project delivery. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage competing priorities, monitor performance metrics, and work independently in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn operational dashboards and business systems. At this time, we are unable to consider applicants who reside in the states of Washington or California.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing a geographically dispersed workforce. Experience in retail operations, merchandising, field services, or data collection.
Working Conditions: Primarily Monday through Friday during normal business hours, with flexibility to support field associates and operational needs across time zones. Additional hours may be required to meet project deadlines or resolve operational issues. Regular use of a computer and phone, with occasional client contact and frequent interaction with internal teams and leadership.
Benefits: Fully remote position. A competitive base salary plus annual bonus eligibility. Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, and more. An international and diverse work environment.
Compensation Range: $55,000-$65,000

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
