About the role
A leading real estate investment firm is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their career, with strong deal flow and direct exposure to senior leadership. Reporting directly to the Chief Accounting Officer, the role will provide broad exposure across the firm’s real estate platform and the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility as the firm continues to grow.
The ideal candidate will have:
2–5 years of experience in public accounting with real estate clients, or within a private REIT. A CPA or progress toward the CPA is preferred, along with experience using Yardi.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain accounting ledgers and bank reconciliations
- Support investor reporting, prepare financial reporting packages, track vendor deal invoices and payoffs, and prepare monthly financial reporting
- Assist with annual external audits for investment products
- Manage accounts payable and cash positions
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of experience in an accounting/finance/operations role, ideally within public accounting with real estate clients or a private REITExperience with YardiStrong accounting skills and attention to detail
