Director, Visual Merchandising & Store DesignElevate the visual representation of the Guerlain brand in all point of sales across the U.S.Visual MerchandisingElevating and Enhancing the Guerlain ImageElevate the Guerlain experience with enhanced merchandising elements and tools; including, event animation elements, counter animation elements, launch elementsAnalyze current event elements and tools, and propose new solutionsAssist with marketing, and sales efforts at each retail location by designing, developing and customizing merchandising strategies and creating visual opportunitiesCreate a visual merchandising database with information on each department store doorsPartner with Paris HQ Visual Merchandising team to ensure global soft merchandising development meet the US market needs requirementsVisual Merchandising TrainingPartner with the Guerlain Sales Field and provide training on design concepts, visual display standards, and the proper maintenance of the overall visual merchandising effortsProvide on-the-job training to members of the store team in key flagship doors to actively support the visual merchandising effortsRetailer RelationshipsMaintain and cultivate relationships with retail partnersCreate database of key contacts per retailerStore DesignPartner with Paris HQ store design team to develop Guerlain flagship counters and freestanding stores and coordinate all project management aspects for construction and installation.Specific responsibilities include:Review all design and construction documents pertaining to each projectPartner with VP, Sales to obtain retailer approval for new and remodeled countersEstablish timetables and drive all parties to complete phases as scheduledCoordinate bid process with Purchasing DepartmentReview shop drawings with Paris HQ store design teamProvide on-site construction supervisionWork with internal teams to provide proper merchandising elements for installations.Coordinate all punch lists post-installationOrganizational StructureReports to: General Manager, USPositions Supervised: 2 Managers & 1 CoordinatorInternal Partners: VP of Sales, Regional Sales Managers, VP of Marketing, ControllerExternal Partners: Paris HQ Visual Merchandising & Store Design team, Retail Partners' Visual Merchandising & Store Planning teams, Service ProvidersQualifications10+ years of visual merchandising and store design experience in a similar or related industryMust possess strong analytical skills, good oral and written presentation skillsExcellent computer skills, including in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite and AutoCad Exhibit a keen ability to be proactive as well as handle a multitude of projects at one timeHighly organized and detail-oriented; hands-on professionalShould be a strategic leader and excellent team playerArchitecture, industrial or interior design degree requiredAdditional InformationLocated in New York corporate officeTravel required based on needs of the business
