As a Senior Manager I, you'll oversee a workstream within a tight-knit consulting team led by a Managing Director that will collectively advise Liberty Mutual's senior executives in making key strategic decisions. Projects are typically in the areas of strategy development, growth strategy, organizational design & operating model, innovation, or business transformation, and typically run for 2-5 months.You'll develop key relationships with leaders and executives across the organization and communicate with senior leadership to influence and galvanize the organization into action.Your responsibilities will include:Deciphering strategic issues faced by Liberty Mutual stakeholders, and determining how best to address themDesigning work plans for your workstream, and collecting data from various internal and external sources (e.g., executive interviews and workshops, customer surveys)Crafting compelling storylines that clearly articulate findings, insights, and recommendationsBuilding and owning relationships with key client stakeholdersDirecting team and client stakeholders towards consensus points and gaining buy-inCommunicating with senior leadership to influence and drive the organization to actionSupporting the development and coaching of Associate Consultants and Senior Associate ConsultantsContributing to CS&R initiatives such as recruiting, talent development, culture building and engagement, or alumni engagementYour compensation will include: Base salary plus an annual short term incentive bonus target: 17.5%QualificationsThe group is looking for intellectually curious, creative, and driven individuals with an interest in developing the management consulting toolkit.Candidates should, at minimum, possess the following: MBA with a demonstrated record of success or equivalent business and analytical background3+ years of experience with a MBA or 5+ years of work experience with a Bachelors Strong critical thinking skills with ability to elevate thinking and apply judgment during analysis about how components fit together and with bigger pictureAbility to leverage experience and analysis to gain support and influence othersStrong quantitative, analytical, and written and oral communication skillsStrong leadership skills and ability to work independently and as a member of a team, and coach junior team membersAbility to manage multiple projects or prioritiesAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and ExcelInsurance or financial services industry experience a plusWhat really gets our attention: Top-tier strategy consulting experienceYou are motivated by high impact, high visibility workYou can independently navigate and decipher an ambiguous environmentYou have demonstrated strong leadership abilities and care about professionally developing those around youRequired steps: All candidates must apply to the job posting on the Liberty Mutual Careers website, with their resume.About UsPay Philosophy: The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location.
