About the role

Our client, an emerging specialty MGA, is seeking an experienced Private D&O / Management Liability Underwriter to work closely with the CEO in launching and growing a new Management Liability program. This key hire will play a key role in day-to-day production underwriting, developing wholesale broker relationships, and building a profitable portfolio across Private D&O, EPLI, Fiduciary Liability, and Crime. With the CEO already leading product development, rating structures, capacity arrangements, and distribution strategy, this is an opportunity to help launch and scale a program without having to build it independently from scratch. As the business grows, there will be significant opportunities to take on broader program leadership responsibilities, help shape product strategy, and eventually build and manage an underwriting team. Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 7 years hands-on Private D&O production underwriting experience, strong wholesale broker relationships, and an entrepreneurial mindset. The position is fully remote, with Chicago-based candidates preferred, and offers a compelling early-stage equity opportunity. Contact Stacy St. Onge to learn more!

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
