Key Responsibilities:
Define and lead core platform architecture, including multi-modal APIs, real-time event systems, AI orchestration layers, and data infrastructure.
Architect production-grade agentic and conversational AI workflows (LLM integrations, retrieval pipelines, tool orchestration, and evaluations).Translate ambiguous product bets into clear engineering roadmaps and drive technical initiatives.
Establish engineering standards for service contracts, observability, and reliability across the organization.
Mentor senior engineers and integrate AI-native workflows (Claude Code, Cursor) across the engineering culture.

What You'll Need to Succeed
Experience:
More than 8 years of engineering experience, operating as a Staff Software Engineer01 & Scale: Proven track record taking products from 0 to 1 at scale and owning critical domains end-to-end.
Hands-on Architecture: Exceptional system design capabilities combined with active, daily hands-on coding skills.
AI-Native Mindset: Daily, deep usage of frontier AI tools ("e.g., Cursor, Claude").Technical Stack: Strong proficiency in Node.js, Python, and React.
Education & Location: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field; ability to work on-site 5 days/week in San Francisco.
