About the role

Freelance YouTube Video Editor | Brad Mondo | Hairdresser Reacts (https://www.youtube.com/bradmondo)Remote, ongoing freelance workI'm looking for an experienced editor for Hairdresser Reacts. You should have excellent comedic timing, understand internet culture, and know how to keep a long episode engaging while keeping my personality and reactions at the center.
THE WORK: Approximately two hours of raw footage per episode, with a finished video around one hour. The series publishes weekly. I'm considering two independent editors alternating episodes, approximately two episodes per month each. You'll own the complete edit: selecting the strongest moments, shaping pacing, cutting repetition, adding visual jokes, memes, effects, music and sound design, cleaning up audio, incorporating feedback, and delivering organized project files and final exports. Preserve context and natural reactions, and make sure viewers can clearly see the hair details I'm discussing. WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR
  • Proven long-form YouTube comedy, commentary, or reaction editing experience.
  • Strong comedic timing and judgment about when to add a joke and when to let a moment play.
  • A feel for pop culture, camp, and personality-driven entertainment.
  • Clear communication, dependable deadlines, and sustainable capacity for recurring work.
  • Comfort using AI tools when they serve a specific creative purpose.
  • Individual editors who personally do the work. No agencies or outsourced editing teams. COMPENSATIONPlease provide your rate per complete episode, what it includes, your revision policy, and any additional fees.
HOW TO APPLY: Email with the subject HAIRDRESSER REACTS EDITOR and include:
  • Two or three relevant full-length videos you personally edited and your exact role on each.
  • Your rate per episode and estimated turnaround.
  • Availability, earliest start date, and capacity for approximately two episodes per month.
  • Your editing software.
  • A client reference or testimonial, if available. Please prioritize complete episodes over highlight reels so I can see how you handle pacing and comedy over time.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
