About the role
- Requires Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree or Masters +3 yrs experience).* Typically 5+ years of related experience in environmental health and safety.* Knowledge of EHS management systems such as ISO45001, ISO14001, or similar.* Expertise in EHS-related topics such as Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Permit-Required Confined Spaces (PRCS), fall protection/prevention, Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC), air permitting, etc.* Prior experience with RCRA, CERCLA, EPA, hazardous wastes, air emissions, etc. is required.
- Advanced degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Safety Management, or a related field.* Professional certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or similar.* Experience with hazardous waste management and emergency response.* Proficiency in EHS software and tools.* Professional certifications such as Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or similar.* Proficiency in using EHS management software and tools.* Understanding of industrial hygiene principles and practices.* Experience with hazard identification and risk assessment methodologies.* Familiarity with safety data sheets (SDS) and chemical management.* Knowledge of incident investigation techniques and root cause analysis.* Ability to develop and deliver EHS training programs.* Experience with environmental compliance reporting and documentation.* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements.* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and EHS-specific software.
