About the role

We are supporting a private equity-backed aerospace and defense component manufacturer that is currently going through a strong period of growth. As the business continues to scale, they are looking to strengthen their commercial team with the addition of a Customer Service Representative based in New York. This is an opportunity to join a growing aerospace and defense business in a hands-on customer-facing role, with a clear longer-term path into more strategic account management responsibilities.
The Role: The Customer Service Representative will support the day-to-day management of customer accounts, helping ensure purchase orders, forecasts, quotations and customer requirements are handled accurately and efficiently.
Key responsibilities will include:
  • Reviewing customer purchase orders and ensuring information is accurate
  • Entering and processing purchase orders
  • Managing and updating customer forecast adjustments
  • Preparing and submitting quotations
  • Supporting customers with day-to-day commercial requirements
  • Maintaining accurate customer and order information
  • Working closely with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are communicated effectively
  • Supporting the wider commercial team with account-related activities
The role is initially focused on the operational and day-to-day side of customer account management rather than strategic account ownership. Career Development There is a clear opportunity for the successful individual to develop into a more strategic commercial or account management position over time. The business is looking for someone who can establish a strong understanding of its customers, products and internal processes before gradually taking on broader account responsibilities.
Candidate Profile: We would be interested in speaking with candidates who have experience in areas such as:
  • Customer service or customer account support
  • Sales support or inside sales
  • Order management
  • Purchase order processing
  • Quotations and pricing support
  • Forecast management
  • Account coordination
  • Aerospace and defense, manufacturing or another product-led environment
The successful candidate should be organised, commercially minded and comfortable managing multiple customer requirements at the same time. This could particularly suit someone who has built a strong foundation in customer service or commercial support and is looking to join a growing aerospace and defense manufacturer with a longer-term route into account management.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
