About the role
- Design and develop neutral beam injection systems, including ion sources, beam optics, vacuum system and beam dumps
- Design high‑voltage components (100 kV–1 MV class systems)
- Develop thermal management solutions for high‑power‑density components
- Collaborate with physicists to integrate beam line components in the NB injector
- Prototyping, testing, and commissioning of beamline systems
- Charged particle beam systems
- Plasma sources (especially ion sources)
- High‑voltage engineering
- Solid Works or Catia
- Simulation tools such as COMSOL Multiphysics, ANSYS, or similar5‑10 years professional experience in an engineering role (design, analysis, test or manufacturing)
- Experience with neutral beam injection systems or fusion devices
- Knowledge of RF ion sources or negative ion generation, high power flux dumps, magnetic confinement systems (tokamaks, stellarators)
- Hands‑on experience with high‑power test systems and high‑voltage systems
