About the role
Student Worker Position Provide books, school supplies, spirit gear, sundries, and snacks for the campus. This position is only open to Student Workers 3 to 20 hours per week.
Essential Functions:
Provide and maintain a high level of customer service assisting faculty, staff, and students.
Act as cashier ensuring customer ID, personal, and credit card information is protected.
Maintain inventory levels and communicate with manager when supplies need to be reordered.
Keep shelves well stocked and assist with marketing merchandise such as window and in-store displays.
Assist in planning and organizing in store promotions.
Assist with end of term buyback.
Assist with inventory data entry, shipping and receiving to maintain an accurate inventory.
Keep store in a clean and orderly manner and assist with daily operations.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Must be current degree-seeking student enrolled in at least 6 credits. Must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0. Must be eligible to receive FWS based on financial need and eligibility requirements determined by FAFSA. Seeking candidates with the following qualities:
Friendly, outgoing, and able to help provide an inviting atmosphere
Basic math, computer, and time management skills
Retail and marketing experience preferred but not required
