Qualifications
Requirements:
- Active Veterinary Technician License (state-appropriate)
- Prior veterinary technician experience
- Weekend availability is required
- Strong commitment to compassionate, empathetic patient and client care
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining grace under pressure
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians with examinations, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures
- Provide skilled nursing care to hospitalized and surgical patients
- Collect and process laboratory samples
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
- Monitor anesthesia and patient recovery
- Educate and communicate with clients in a clear, empathetic, and supportive manner
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Uphold hospital protocols, safety standards, and ethical practices
- Contribute positively to a respectful, team-centered workplace culture
