Job Description: Record a running score and time, manually or electronically, for various sports leagues/tournaments.
Examples Of Duties: DUTIES:Keep a recorded book of the running score, fouls and time-outs for various leagues/tournaments in accordance with sport/program rules. Provide on-site operational support for leagues/tournaments. Manage emergencies and the overall safety of participants and spectators. Handle any situations on-site that may arise such as protests, official no-shows, rule questions, inclement weather, emergencies, incidents, etc. Ability to understand and interpret sport specific rules. Deliver recorded book to the League Coordinator in a timely manner.
Qualifications: Qualification: Prior experience working as a scorekeeper preferred. Hours may include Monday-Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Holidays. Knowledge of current rules of the sport and the ability to interpret them. Ability to deal with sometimes difficult individuals Applicants must be citizens of the United States or must present proper authorization to work in the United States.
