Mechanics Assistant

Location: Evans City, PAPay Range $20.00- $25.00/hour (DOE)What's the Job? Assist an experienced mechanic with the repair and maintenance of mining equipment, including gearboxes, sprockets, and hydraulic components. Clean parts, perform equipment teardowns, and prepare components for inspection and assembly. Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment safely and effectively. Maintain basic work logs and support shop organization and safety initiatives. Operate forklifts and overhead lifting equipment as needed to move materials and equipment. What's Needed? Mechanical aptitude and interest in equipment repair and maintenance. Experience using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments preferred. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a non-climate-controlled shop environment. Previous forklift experience is preferred; training and certification will be provided. Valid driver's license and ability to work independently and as part of a team. What's in it for me?
