About the role
- Prepare, review, and post journal entries in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations and variance analysis
- Manage client/customer billing, including generating invoices, tracking accounts receivable, and resolving billing discrepancies
- Maintain accurate and organized general ledger records
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and balance sheet accounts
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and internal reporting packages
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
- Support external audits and tax preparation by providing documentation and schedules
- Identify and help implement process improvements within the accounting function
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve billing or accounting-related inquiries
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field1–4 years of relevant accounting experience (staff accountant or similar role)
- Strong working knowledge of GAAPProven experience preparing and posting journal entries
- Experience with billing/invoicing and accounts receivable processes
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, or similar) and Microsoft ExcelStrong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skillsCPA track or progress toward CPA a plus, but not required
