Cedar Creek is a 1,100 MW simple-cycle gas turbine power project with a site workforce peaking above 2,000. As HSE Manager you own the owner's health, safety and environmental oversight, set the standard the EPC contractor is held to, and carry the authority to stop work. What you get to do: Review turbine commissioning procedures and OEM startup plans. Witness first fire, first sync and initial load runs. Track vibration, temperature and performance data through startup. Partner with OEM commissioning engineers across the fleet. Drive lessons from early units into the units that follow. Support performance testing of the turbine fleet. Monitor preservation of the turbine fleet through commissioning. What you bring to the role:10+ years commissioning large gas turbines and generators. Demonstrated track record through first fire and first sync on multiple units. Familiarity with OEM startup procedures and turbine control systems. Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu, Procore and AI tools used with human verification. Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, or equivalent years of field experience.
Nice to have: Owner-side commissioning experience.
