Industry: Insurance / Financial Services Put Your Insurance License to Work with a Team That Has Your Back We're recruiting a licensed Client Service Specialist for a well-established, family-owned independent insurance agency with multiple offices across Northern Michigan. This agency represents a broad range of carriers rather than being tied to any single company, which means the team gets to focus on finding clients the right coverage rather than pushing one product line. This role is a step up from purely administrative support — you'll be using your Michigan insurance license to directly assist clients on both personal and commercial lines, handle real coverage questions, and manage basic claims. It's a great fit for someone who's licensed and ready to do more client-facing work, or for someone looking to grow further within a stable agency that has a clear path for advancement.
What You'll Be Doing: Answering inbound calls and assisting clients directly on personal and commercial lines Processing payments, policy endorsements, ID cards, and mortgagee change requests Managing basic claims such as glass or tow claims from start to finish Gathering quoting information to hand off to Account Managers and Executives Supporting documentation and data entry in the agency's management system Serving as a knowledgeable point of contact for client questions on their coverage
What We're Looking For
Required: Active Michigan insurance producer license (Property & Casualty)Strong phone and customer service skills Comfortable with data entry and agency management software Ability to communicate clearly with clients about coverage and policy details Helpful but not required: Prior experience in a licensed insurance service or customer service role Experience with both personal and commercial lines Familiarity with agency management systems such as Epic Benefits May Include Benefit eligibility and details will be reviewed as part of the hiring process. We'll share specifics as they're confirmed with the employer. Why You'll Love This Opportunity Real client-facing work where your license and knowledge make a difference Work for a stable, well-established, family-run local agency Variety across personal and commercial lines, not just one type of policy Room to grow further within the agency's client service and sales teamsA team-oriented environment supporting both licensed staff and those working toward licensing Real Talk This is an active, client-facing role — you'll be fielding real coverage questions and handling live claims situations, not just administrative tasks. You'll need to be comfortable explaining policy details to clients and staying on top of documentation while juggling calls. If you're licensed and want to use that license in meaningful client work rather than sitting behind the scenes, this is a strong fit. Why Ambient Recruiting? Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
