About the role

We are partnering with a commercial interiors contractor seeking a Commercial Drywall Project Manager to oversee metal framing, drywall and acoustical ceiling projects in the Phoenix market. This opportunity is suited to someone who understands commercial interior construction and can manage project financials, coordinate with field teams and maintain strong relationships with general contractors.
What You’ll Do: Manage commercial drywall, metal framing and acoustical ceiling projects from award through closeout. Review plans, specifications and contract requirements to understand scope and identify potential gaps. Manage budgets, cost tracking, schedules, procurement and project documentation. Coordinate with superintendents, foremen, vendors and general contractors to keep work moving. Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals and change orders. Monitor labor production and project costs, addressing issues that could affect schedule or profitability. Communicate with customers and field leadership to resolve project challenges. Support project billing and closeout requirements.
What We’re Looking For: Demonstrated project management experience with a commercial drywall or interiors subcontractor. Strong knowledge of metal framing, drywall and acoustical ceiling systems. Experience managing project budgets, change orders, schedules and field coordination. Ability to read construction drawings and identify scope, sequencing and constructability issues. Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills. Experience working directly with general contractors and managing commercial project expectations. Ideal Background Your experience includes commercial interior projects with meaningful scope and complexity. Candidates whose background is primarily small multifamily or residential work should also demonstrate substantial commercial drywall project experience.
Compensation: $115,000–$145,000 base, with potential flexibility up to $150,000 for a strong match. Phoenix-area candidates are preferred. Relocation may be considered for an exceptional candidate.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
