Role Description: Open and manage import files (ocean FCL/LCL and air) from pre-alert through final delivery Review and validate shipping documents: house and master bills of lading, air waybills, commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin Track vessels and flights and keep customers updated on ETAs, delays and exceptions Issue arrival notices and coordinate cargo release with carriers, CFS and terminals Coordinate customs clearance with brokers, including ISF filings, entry documents and any CBP, FDA or USDA holds and exams Book and schedule drayage, trucking and warehouse deliveries; manage free time to avoid demurrage, detention and per diem Monitor tariff exposure on incoming cargo (Section 232, Section 301, AD/CVD) and flag it to customers and sales before arrival Prepare and audit file costing and customer billing; resolve vendor invoice discrepancies Keep files complete and up to date in our operating system for audit and compliance Communicate with overseas agents and partners to resolve documentation or operational issues
