About the role
We are looking for an organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Inside Sales & Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Hauppauge, NY. In this role, you will serve as the operational backbone for our US sales group, providing critical support to 6 outside sales reps, handling high-value customer orders, managing inventory backlogs, and coordinating closely with our global headquarters in Germany. Key Responsibilities Order & Backlog Management: Receive, process, and track high-volume and long-term blanket demand orders (e.g., 1,000+ unit orders split across monthly deliveries). Regularly review backlog reports to determine monthly shipping volume. Customer & Account Support: Act as the primary point of contact for existing accounts regarding PO changes, shipment tracking, delivery lead times, and scheduling adjustments. Sales Team Support: Partner with 6 outside sales representatives, handling administrative and back-end tasks, following up on customer inquiries, and helping qualify web leads. Vendor & Logistics Coordination: Maintain daily communication with key suppliers and our global headquarters in Germany regarding stock levels, inventory flow, and international shipping timelines. System Maintenance: Maintain accurate order history, inventory counts, and customer account details in our ERP system and project tracking tools. Qualifications & Key RequirementsERP System Experience: Direct experience working within an ERP framework (experience with Pro Alpha or similar systems is a strong plus).Strong Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; comfortable handling heavy email threads and client phone calls. Detail-Oriented & Accountable: Skilled at managing large, long-term orders and staying ahead of delivery dates and customer timelines. Software Proficiency: Comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and sales management tools like Monday.com. Passport & Travel Readiness: Valid passport required (potential for 1 international trip per year to company HQ in Germany).
