Job Title: ICT Architect / Fiber Connectivity
Location: Bellevue, WA (Hybrid)
Description:
We are seeking a Fiber Connectivity / ICT Architect to join our Global Connectivity team. In this role, the candidate will be responsible for designing, documenting, implementing, and debugging the cabling infrastructure solutions for cutting-edge data centers focused on AI workloads.
Responsibilities:
Create fiber connectivity designs for lab and data center production network and non-production networks such as Client, EPMS, Security, A/V, and controls.
Deliver specification documentation around these designs, providing a baseline of instruction for your ICT user base.
Manage multiple cabling manufacturers ensuring schedule and engineering deliverables are met.
Field management as needed for new fiber connectivity installation projects in labs, co-location sites and data centers both inside and outside the US.Drive standards for ICT testing, labeling, installation best practices based on EIA/TIA/BICSI industry standards.
Qualifications:
BS in EE, Information Systems, Computer Science, or Information Assurance may be coupled with certifications to include BICSI RCDD, DCDC, OSP, or an equivalent combination of higher education and tech related experience.10+ years of experience as an ICT professional in a highly dynamic environment.
Highly competent in all aspects of the ICT skillset including ISP/OSP copper and fiber technology and design.
Strong background in building ICT Spec documentation. (AutoCAD, Bluebeam).Strong background in building ICT Operational guidelines. (Testing, Labeling, Installations).TCP/IP networking knowledge and common networking terms as well as knowledge of network cabling, optic types, and test equipment.
Strong project management skills and the ability to collaborate with vendors and internal project stakeholders.
Effective communicator, both written and verbal.
Ability to perform related physical tasks such as climbing ladders, moving equipment, installing cables and light lifting.
Background in large scale data center fiber connectivity implementations and support.
