Responsibilities:
LMI is seeking a skilled VTC/AV Engineer to design, install, and maintain video teleconferencing and audio-visual systems supporting a network of technical communications facilities. This individual will ensure reliable, secure collaboration capabilities across multiple locations.
Primary duties include:
Design, install, configure, and maintain VTC and AV systems across facility locations. Troubleshoot VTC/AV connectivity, performance, and integration issues. Coordinate with network and facility teams to ensure systems meet security and interoperability requirements. Support scheduling, testing, and live operation of VTC/AV systems for meetings and events. Maintain equipment inventories, documentation, and maintenance schedules. Support operations center AV integration, including NOC/SOC display systems and 24x7 monitoring environment requirements.
Location:
This position is based in the Washington, DC metro area, with travel to program locations.
Travel:
This position requires approximately 25-50% travel to support activities across multiple program locations.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience. 5+ years of experience designing or supporting VTC/AV systems, including in classified environments. Working knowledge of VTC codecs, AV control systems, and related collaboration technologies.
Nice to Have:
Relevant certifications (e.g., CTS, CTS-D, CTS-I). Demonstrated experience leading or supporting large, geographically dispersed teams. Experience supporting Special Access Program (SAP) facilities, systems, or environments. Familiarity with multi-tier enterprise conference room standardization and design of classified and unclassified AV room configurations. TS/SCI clearance with SAP eligibility is required for this position. TS/SCI clearance with SAP eligibility is required for this position.
