About the role

Napa County is seeking a Chief Appraiser to lead the Assessor Valuation Division within the Assessor-Recorder-County Clerk Department. The role will value real and personal property, perform complex appraisals, and oversee assessment appeals. Under administrative direction, the Chief Appraiser directs division operations, develops objectives and procedures, and may serve as Deputy Assessor in the absence of the Assessor-Recorder-County Clerk; this is an at-will position with a January 2027
