About the role
Supervisor, Patient AccessAs the Supervisor of Patient Access, you'll organize and supervise the daily operations of Patient Access and the switchboard areas. Provide training and promotes accuracy and efficiency of operations while maintaining a positive environment and experience for patients and families. Prepare the work-schedule and provides direction in performing the administrative functions of the department. Responsible for the completion of performance evaluations of all registration personnel, as well as managing the hiring, firing and disciplinary actions. Maintaining adequate staff for operation of the department while staying within budget. Approval of time off requests and time and pay records. Develops and implements new policies and procedures as needed. Perform registration clerical duties as needed. Develop the budget with the assistance of the Director.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- Knowledge of insurance regulations and federal regulations affecting registration required
- Basic math skills, computer/clerical skills, ability to work flexible hours, communicate effectively both written and verbal
- Previous management experience, medical terminology/anatomy preferred
