About the role
Ampcera is a US-based innovator and global leader in the development and characterization of solid electrolyte materials for next-generation solid-state batteries. Ampcera has a growing IP portfolio of high-performance engineered solid electrolyte materials, revolutionary scalable manufacturing processes, and novel designs for solid-state batteries.
Ampcera is seeking a Battery Engineer with strong hands-on experience in laboratory environment and materials processing/handling.
Responsibilities:
Work with Battery Scientists to support solid-state battery development efforts.
Formulate battery electrode materials and carry out cell assembly.
Constant improvement of solid-state battery processes and design
Screen/validate electrode composition formulation and battery performance.
Work with battery testing equipment/software and data analysis.
Communicate experimental results to the battery development team.
Requirements:
B.S. in Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or other related STEM fields.
Capable of executing multiple tasks in a fast-paced working environment.
Meticulous, organized, and self-motivated.
Clear communication skills.
Acute safety awareness.
Pass drug test and criminal background check.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with gloveboxes.
Familiarity with solid electrolyte materials and electrochemistry.
Experiences with any type of batteries
Familiarity with XRD, SEM, EDS and EIS.
Programming capability for data analysis
Physical Demands and Working Conditions Capable of lifting 50 lbs. with the assistance of lift equipment or cart.
Wear personal protective equipment including, but not limited to lab coats, gloves, safety glasses, masks, respirators, etc.
