About the role

Overview As Lead Software Developer at MedscapeLIVE!, you will act as the technical anchor for registration portals and promotional live events, guiding both stateside and offshore teams. You’ll drive complex feature enhancements, enforce code quality, and proactively address system vulnerabilities to ensure seamless live events. You will shape the platform architecture and long-term development roadmap, aligning with the mission of delivering high-impact medical content to MDs and HCPs. This role offers the opportunity to automate workflows and build advanced integrations that scale globally. Compensation / Benefits Health Insurance (medical, dental, and vision)Paid Time Off 401(k) with employer matching Life and Disability Insurance Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Commuter/Transit Benefits Responsibilities Serve as the primary technical lead for development teams on proprietary web applications, global platforms, and educational infrastructures Enforce code integrity, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior developers Proactively identify vulnerabilities, automate repetitive workflows, and develop advanced technical solutions Set standards for application responsiveness and cross-platform compatibility (Windows, iOS, Chrome, Safari)Lead testing efforts to ensure functionality and zero-downtime deployments Escalate and rapidly patch platform-breaking bugs affecting live events Maintain high-level technical documentation, diagrams, and SOPsManage large-scale projects and long-term planning for development infrastructure within SLAs and deadlines Key requirements Expert-level proficiency in front-end and full-stack technologies (HTML5, CSS3, modern Java Script, XML)Experience architecting and managing third-party API connections and platform integrations (STOVA, Sitecore, or similar), with Webflow preferred Experience managing offshore resources and conducting rigorous code reviews to maintain deployment standards Proven history of leading development cycles and driving product roadmaps Strong analytical skills and ability to work under pressure and untangle legacy code Desire to automate repetitive tasks, improve processes, and streamline deployment pipelines 5+ years of web development with leadership and CMS architecture experience Experience with medical content and MLR submissions is advantageous Strong communication skills to translate technical concepts for executive stakeholders Familiarity with modern version control and ticketing systems (e.g., You Track)strong communicationanalytical thinkingleadershipHTML5CSS3 Java Script
