Lazer Logistics is hiring a Local CDL A Yard Driver with Hazmat endorsement to support 24/7 yard operations for major distribution and manufacturing customers. In this role, you’ll safely move trailers within the yard, perform pre- and post-trip inspections, and handle hazmat loads following strict DOT and company safety standards. You’ll use yard management systems and handheld technology to track trailers, communicate with dispatch and yard managers, and help keep freight flowing efficiently. Operate local CDL A yard truck to safely move trailers within distribution and manufacturing yards Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections and document equipment condition Handle and transport hazmat loads in compliance with DOT and company safety standards Communicate with dispatch, yard managers, and guards to coordinate trailer moves Accurately track trailer locations using yard management systems or handheld devices Follow all yard procedures, speed limits, and PPE requirements Report equipment issues, incidents, or safety concerns promptly Support 24/7 operations with reliable attendance and flexible shift availability CDL A truck driving Yard tractor/hostler operation Hazmat handling and regulations (Hazmat endorsement) DOT safety and compliance Vehicle inspection and documentation Yard management systems/handheld devices Defensive driving Backing and maneuvering in tight yards Radio/yard communication procedures Basic mechanical awareness Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid CDL Class A license Hazmat (H) or X endorsement Clean MVR meeting company and DOT standards DOT medical examiner’s certificate Forklift experience a plus TSA background clearance where required
