Summary
The admissions liaison is responsible for effective coordination of admissions to the inpatient rehab unit.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinate an effective, efficient admissions process for all patients.
Receive referrals, gather and verify pertinent information, and complete necessary procedures to schedule and admit inpatients to the rehab units.
Maintain knowledge of current regulations governing Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance reimbursement.
Follow organizational and hospital policies and procedures.
Assist in completion of non-clinical information on the pre-admission screens for rehab.
Perform other duties as requested.
Effectively market rehab programs to internal and external referral sources.
Qualifications
Must have a college degree in marketing or business.
Minimum of 1 year’s experience in admissions department preferred.
Strong understanding of current regulations governing Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance reimbursement for inpatient rehab preferred.
Demonstrated proficiency with computers, software and a variety of office equipment.
