Title Recording Officer Real Estate / Title Industry (Western Suffolk County, NY) A well-established title services company in a neighboring Western Suffolk County town is seeking a Title Recording Officer with at least 2+ years of experience in the title industry or a real estate law firm. This is a full-time, in-office role, Monday Friday, 9:00 AM5:00 PM.
Position Overview: The ideal candidate has hands-on experience preparing, reviewing, and recording real estate documents, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Experience with ACRIS and/or Simplifile is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities: Review, prepare, and record real estate documents including deeds, mortgages, releases, liens, and related instruments Ensure all documents meet county-specific formatting and execution requirements Perform detailed review of executed closing packages for accuracy and completeness Enter and update records in internal databases with a high level of accuracy Research and resolve recording issues, rejections, or discrepancies Communicate with clients, lenders, and county offices regarding document status and requirements Monitor deadlines to ensure timely recording and return of documents Required Experience & Skills 2+ years of experience in the title industry or real estate law Strong understanding of recording requirements across multiple counties Experience with ACRIS and/or Simplifile (preferred) Excellent communication skills and professional client interaction Strong computer and scanning skills High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks Reliable, organized, and able to work independently
