About the role
Mitzvah. FUNDMitzvah. FUND is a nonprofit founded by the team behind Mitzvah.com with a mission to make Jewish life more accessible, meaningful, and celebrated. Through a grant platform, Mitzvah. FUND designs and distributes beautifully crafted ritual products that help people take their next step in Jewish life. Beginning with Shabbat, the organization will expand into additional ritual categories over time, creating products and experiences that inspire greater participation in Jewish tradition. We believe that someone's first pair of Shabbat candlesticks, first mezuzah, or first set of tefillin should feel every bit as special as purchasing a product from the world's best consumer brands. Role: We're looking for a General Manager to build and lead Mitzvah. FUND. This person will work directly with the founders of Mitzvah.com, overseeing every aspect of product development, manufacturing, supply chain, ecommerce, fulfillment, budgeting, and organizational operations. The ideal candidate is an exceptional consumer operator.
Responsibilities:
Drive the vision, development, and launch of new ritual product categories, beginning with Shabbat and expanding into additional moments of Jewish life. Identify, recruit, and collaborate with world-class designers, artists, and makers to create products that redefine the aesthetic of Jewish ritual. (Our inaugural collaboration is with designer Hannah Polskin.) Lead product development from concept through launch, partnering across design, manufacturing, sourcing, packaging, and quality. Build and manage relationships with manufacturing partners, suppliers, and fulfillment providers to deliver premium products at scale. Own the digital grant platform and recipient experience, ensuring every interaction feels thoughtful, seamless, and worthy of the products themselves. Shape the brand strategy for Mitzvah. FUND, partnering on storytelling and content that makes ritual feel culturally relevant, beautiful, and aspirational for a new generation.
