About the role
- Create great work
- Lead concept and copy development across one or more healthcare brands, from big campaign platforms to individual executions.
- Develop strategically sound, original ideas that can live across channels and audiences.
- Write and oversee copy for HCP, patient, caregiver, consumer, and other healthcare audiences as appropriate.
- Translate complex clinical and scientific information into communications that are clear, compelling, memorable, and human.
- Partner closely with art directors and designers from concept through execution. We believe the best work comes from true creative partnership—not copy handing something off to art or vice versa.
- Push beyond the first answer. Recognize when an idea is merely correct and when it has the potential to be great.
- Protect the integrity of an idea as it moves from presentation through production and MLR.Engage in Presentation
- Present creative work clearly, persuasively, and with conviction.
- Explain not only what the idea is, but why it is the right idea.
- Build trusted relationships with clients and become someone they look to for creative and strategic counsel.
- Participate in brand planning, creative briefs, market research, workshops, new business, and other high-level client conversations.
- Navigate medical, legal, and regulatory feedback constructively, looking for ways to preserve the power of the idea while maintaining scientific accuracy and compliance.
- Lead the team
- Manage, mentor, and develop copywriters at multiple levels.
- Provide clear, thoughtful feedback that makes both the work and the writer stronger.
- Set a high creative bar while creating an environment where people feel comfortable bringing forward unfinished, unconventional, and ambitious ideas.
- Partner with creative leadership to identify growth opportunities for team members and provide meaningful career guidance.
- Help manage workload, priorities, and resources across the copy team.
- Be generous with what you know. Raise the creative consciousness of the people around you.
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
