About the role

President & Chief Operating Officer Fully Remote | Confidential A high-growth, technology-driven company operating at the intersection of AI, digital commerce, data, and emerging consumer platforms is seeking a President & Chief Operating Officer to help lead its next stage of growth. This is not a traditional COO role. We are looking for an entrepreneurial, commercially minded leader who can move comfortably between strategy and hands-on execution. This person will help grow the client base, lead key client relationships, scale the organization, influence product direction, and partner closely with the founder on major company decisions. The environment is highly analytical, technology-driven, and fast-moving. The right person will enjoy building rather than simply managing, and will be comfortable operating with significant autonomy and accountability. This opportunity offers meaningful equity participation and the potential for expanded leadership responsibility as the company grows.
What You'll Do: Drive growth: Develop prospective clients, build senior-level relationships, lead strategic sales conversations, and help convert opportunities into long-term partnerships. Lead key client relationships: Develop a deep understanding of client needs and performance while helping ensure the organization delivers measurable business impact. Scale the business: Build processes, operating rhythms, teams, and systems that allow the organization to grow without becoming dependent on individual leaders. Shape strategy: Partner closely with the founder on company strategy, growth priorities, resource allocation, and major business decisions. Influence product direction: Translate client and market needs into product priorities and work effectively with technology and engineering teams. Stay hands-on: Personally develop pitches, analyze performance, work through client challenges, build processes, and solve problems rather than simply directing others to do so. Build and lead teams: Recruit, develop, and lead high-performing teams as the organization grows. Support future growth initiatives: Participate in broader company priorities including strategic planning, fundraising, and long-term organizational development.
What We're Looking For: We are looking for an unusually versatile leader who combines commercial instincts, strategic thinking, technology fluency, analytical rigor, and a builder mentality. Strong candidates will bring: Meaningful experience in a technology-driven business with responsibility for business, product, client, or operational outcomes. Demonstrated ability to develop senior client relationships and contribute directly to revenue growth. Experience owning significant initiatives, teams, business units, products, or operating results. Strong analytical and financial judgment with the ability to use data to make decisions quickly. The ability to work effectively with product, technology, and engineering teams. A software engineering background is not required, but strong technology fluency is important. Experience translating customer and market needs into business or product priorities. A track record of building or scaling teams, businesses, products, or new initiatives. Comfort moving between high-level strategy and detailed execution. An entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to operate in an environment where responsibilities are broad and priorities can evolve quickly. A high degree of autonomy, intellectual curiosity, and bias toward action. A low-ego, collaborative leadership style. Experience in digital commerce, marketplaces, advertising technology, digital media, social platforms, AI-enabled businesses, or other related technology environments is highly relevant. Experience with a leading strategy consulting firm may also be valuable when combined with meaningful operating experience.
Who May Be Particularly Successful:
  • This opportunity may be especially compelling for someone who has built a strong career within a larger technology or digital business and is now ready to own a much broader mandate.
  • You may currently be a General Manager, Senior Director, VP, Head of Business, commercial or product leader, startup executive, or similar operator who wants greater influence over an entire company's direction.
  • Prior President or COO experience is not required. Breadth of ownership, leadership potential, technology fluency, commercial capability, and the ability to build are more important than a specific title.
  • Compensation & Location
  • Base salary up to $150KSignificant equity participation
  • Health, dental & vision insurance
  • Generous paid time off
  • Currently remote within the United States
  • Limited travel may be required
  • This opportunity is best suited to someone motivated by ownership, impact, autonomy, and long-term upside rather than maximizing near-term cash compensation.
  • Additional Job Application TermsThis job is part of LinkedIn’s Full-Service Hiring beta program. Eligibility is limited to candidates located in and performing services in the United States, excluding those based in Alaska, Hawaii, Nevada, South Carolina, or West Virginia.
We’re committed to making our hiring process as smooth and timely as possible, and we understand that waiting to hear back can add to the anticipation. If you’re a potential fit, our team will reach out within two weeks to progress you to the next stage. If you don’t hear from us in that time, we encourage you to explore other opportunities with our team in the future, and we wish you the very best in your job search.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
