About the role

As a Minor League Athletic Trainer, you will be responsible for providing medical care, injury prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation for Minor League players. This role involves collaborating with Director of Medical Operations, Assistant Director-Minor League Medical, Manager of Academy Medical, Manager of Academy Rehab, strength and conditioning staff, and coaches to ensure the health and performance of players. An interprofessional collaborative spirit, effective multidiscipline communication, and relationship building through a foundation of trust, integrity, and a player-centered approach to healthcare are essential for success in this position.
Essential Functions: Provide daily injury prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation services for Minor League players. Conduct player evaluations and implement individualized treatment plans. Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with MLB and team health protocols. Collaborate with team physicians and medical staff to manage injuries and recovery plans. Assist in the implementation of strength and conditioning programs. Assist in the education of players on health, nutrition, and injury prevention strategies. Travel with the assigned Minor League affiliate and provide medical coverage for all games and activities. Report injury status and updates to the Assistant Director of Athletic Training/Rehab, Manager of Academy Medical, and front office personnel.
