Machine Operator Join a 4th generation business that has been family-owned for over 125 years! We began as a mineral-exploration drilling company in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania in 1900, and have adapted with the times to become a manufacturer, in addition to the drilling side of the business. Our McKees Rocks (Pittsburgh) manufacturing location is seeking a machine operator to join our team! In this role, you will: Set up, maintain and operate machinery, while ensuring the interminable and efficient production running Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed)Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools Test operation of machines periodically Fix issues that might occur during the shift Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws Keep records of approved and defective units or final products Maintain activity logs Operate hand tools and other equipment. Maintain company equipment and tools. This position primarily works in a heavy manufacturing environment where the ability to work in a variety of High school diploma or GED required. Experience working in manufacturing, preferred. Need problem-solving capabilities and ability to work productively as part of a team Mechanical ability and attention to detail, required. Knowledge of safety policies and procedures. Must be trustworthy and dependable Good communication and interpersonal skills
