About the role
Banquet Staff Position At Fargo Country Club The Fargo Country Club, managed by Troon, is seeking dependable, energetic banquet staff to join our team. This position supports weddings, private events, corporate functions, and other special occasions. The role includes event setup and service, guest assistance, cleanup, and serving or bartending during weekend events or FOH service. Key Responsibilities of the Banquet Staff: Set up and break down banquet rooms, tables, chairs, linens, place settings, and event equipment. Assist with food and beverage service during weddings, banquets, and private events. Provide friendly, professional service to guests throughout events. Maintain clean and organized dining, service, and bar areas. Serve beer, wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with applicable laws and company policies. Prepare and stock the bar before events and maintain inventory throughout service. Check identification and follow responsible alcohol-service practices. Monitor bar supplies and communicate restocking needs to management. Clear tables, remove dishes and trash, and assist with post-event cleanup. Work closely with event coordinators, kitchen staff, servers, and other team members to ensure smooth events. Handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Follow all safety, sanitation, and alcohol-service procedures. Accountable for checks and cash transactions. Utilizes Point of Sales System. Reviews banquet schedule for changes, calendar of events, and special events.
Schedule:
Primarily weekend work, with additional shifts available based on event schedules. Evening, late-night, holiday, and occasional weekday availability may be required. Must be comfortable standing and working for extended periods during events.
Qualifications:
Previous banquet, catering, restaurant, or bartending experience preferred. Bartending experience is a plus. Must be at least the legal age to serve alcohol in the applicable jurisdiction. Excellent customer-service and communication skills. Reliable, punctual, and professional. Ability to work well independently and as part of a team. Ability to lift and move event supplies and equipment as needed. Must be comfortable working in a busy, event-based environment.
