About the role
We’re seeking a motivated jewelry salesperson and client services professional to join our small, nimble team on Jewelers Row in downtown Chicago. This role is ideal for someone with great energy, curiosity, and a people-first mindset. You don’t need deep jewelry experience to start, but you do need to be eager to learn and genuinely excited about delivering exceptional products and thoughtful, high-touch experiences for every client. A natural interest in design and jewelry manufacturing will serve you well here, and any background in art, design, jewelry, or gemstones is a strong plus. You will be serving clients during the biggest moments of their lives! You’ll work with them on jewelry and custom design including: Diamond and gemstone engagement rings Men’s and women’s wedding bands Diamond and gemstone bands and other jewelry Custom projects such as gemstone pendants, ring resets, and heirloom redesigns. Other general responsibilities will include: Responding to phone and email inquiries Helping walk-in clients Tag-teaming with senior salespeople on major sales Supporting the whole team by assisting clients as needed Helping to maintain a clean, fun, productive showroom floor Regular clienteling: following up with clients, keeping in touch and staying organized enough to know when to reach out and congratulate them on new weddings, engagements, new babies, etc.!
REQUIREMENTS:
You must: Have experience in sales and customer service Have great communication skills, including email and phone Be friendly, professional and have a positive attitude Be a team player and willing to pitch in as needed Be organized Be a sponge: you will need to learn diamonds, gemstones, jewelry, manufacturing and more in order to be truly successful You'll get: Salary plus a generous commission plan
